Additional Information:

• Safety is of highest priority in the park. Please follow the rules implemented on the island
• Children aged 0-5 may enter the park for free
• Children aged 0-12 must be accompanied by their parents or guardians
• Parents must attend to their children while they are playing or using the facilities
• Please keep your belongings in a safe place. The park authority is not responsible for your belongings
• Please keep your pet on a leash or in a nest box and clean up after them. There is no pet check-in service in the park
• There are smoking areas by the Visitor Center and the parking lot. Please do not smoke outside the smoking areas
• The sedimentary rock is a restricted access area. Application for entry is required to access the area
• Application for permission is required for commercial videotaping, teaching, and other commercial activities
• Application for permission is required for group activities that will affect others in the park
• Application for permission is required to operate air drones in the park
• Please do not use any sports equipment, such as roller-blades, bicycles, scooters, or other similar items, except for official use
• Please do not use sun-shading equipment larger than 3x3 meters
• Please do not use fire equipment, toxic substances, flammable materials, or other dangerous items
• Please do not climb trees or rocks, pick flowers, or catch the living creatures roaming the area
• The park is wheelchair, stroller, and PWD friendly

Heping Island Park Attractions

Mountain Trail:

• Walk along this 400m trail and enjoy the scenery of Keelung Island with amazing ocean views and landscapes

Angel to the Sea Marina:

• This is a great spot for photos. There is also a slide connecting to Summer Stay Beach for the kids to enjoy

Marine Landscape:

• Come see the layered sedimentary rocks that make up the impressive landscape all around Heping Island Park

Wave-Cut Platform:

• The vast wave-cut platform is the place of origin of the winter seaweed, and you will often see the local women collecting the seaweed here. It is a unique cultural scene at Heping Island

Ryukyuan Fisherman’s Monument:

• In 1905, Ryukyuan crossed the sea and settled in Heping Island. This monument is a symbol of the relationship between the Ryukyuan and the locals

The Dutch Cave:

• Explore the small marine cave where some Dutch hid from the Koxinga Army and carved their names in the stone in 1668. The carvings have eroded but the beauty of the cave remains
