• Vehicles cannot accommodate disabled participants and large pieces of luggage (i.e. wheelchairs, strollers, skis, etc.)

License and Document Requirements:

• Foreigners who plan to drive in Japan must possess certain legal documents
• You must present an international driving permit issued by a certifiying body of one of the signatory countries or territories of the Geneva Convention. Permit must be based on the format of the Geneva Convention or driver's licenses issued in Switzerland, Germany, France, Taiwan, Belgium, Slovenia, Monaco, or Estonia. Please present also a Japanese translation of the license
• International driving permits are valid for 1 year from the date of issue. The permits' validity for driving in Japan is 1 year from the date of arrival in Japan
• International driving permits acquired from signatory countries to the Paris Convention (1926), the Washington Convention (1943) or the Vienna Convention (1968) are not recognized
• A Japanese translation of the driver's license must be issued by the respective country’s embassy, a consulate in Japan, or by the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF)
• For Taiwanese licenses, a Japanese translation of the driver's license must be issued by the JAF or the East Asia Relations Commission
• Please note: You will have to provide your flight number to book. Please ensure that the flight number you provide is correct. You may not be able to pick up the car due to the wrong flight number details and refunds will not be issued for this reason
• Please note: No refunds will be issued if you are not able to provide certain legal documents on the date of your car pick up

Car Rental Rules:

• Please note: According to the local law, children aged 0-5 must use a child seat (chair or booster). If you are traveling with a child, it is recommended that you request for one. Please indicate at checkout if you will be needing a child seat
• Please note: Renters are required to refill the gas tank prior to the return of the vehicle to the operator

How To Use:

• You can present either a printed or a mobile voucher for this activity
• The voucher is valid only for the date specified

Surcharge:

Child Seat

• The operator will prepare the requested number of child seats. Please Add child seat on ADDITIONAL INFORMATION (Order notes) at the checkout page
• Baby seat (with weights up to 10kg and height up to 75cm): JPY1,000 per rental
• Child seat (with weights up to 18kg and height up to 100cm): JPY1,000 per rental
• Child booster seat (weight up to 32kg; height up to 135cm): JPY1,000 per rental
• The price does not include tax. Please note that final surchage fee will include 10% tax

ETC Card

• Cost for ETC is included for car rental fee. Please note the ETC card is not pre - loaded. Upon return of the car the operator will calculate the total usage fee. Please pay onsite
