Additional Information:
Taipei Zoo
- No smoking (offenders can be fined up to TWD10,000)
- Do not bring pets and air-filled balloons in the zoo
- Riding bicycles, children’s tricycles, skateboards, and rollerblades are prohibited
- Climbing fences and entering enclosures are prohibited
- Entering operation areas and the shuttle train lane is prohibited
- No feeding the animals
- Eating and drinking is prohibited inside exhibitions at the zoo
- Photoflash is prohibited at the Koala House, Amphibian and Reptiles House, and the Panda House
- Wheelchair rental is free: ID for deposit is required, TWD1000 without ID (returned upon return of wheelchair)
- Stroller Rental: TWD50 per stroller, and TWD1,000 for the deposit (returned upon return of the stroller)
- Visitors can leave with seal stamped on their hand by the staff at the zoo entrance (or at the entrance beside the Maokong Gondola - Taipei Zoo South Station), and will need to show it to the service staff upon re-entry
- The zoo provides access to deposit lockers
- Lockers are located at the periphery of the entrance plaza
- Lockers are charged per use according to size: TWD50/each use for large-size lockers (79cm H x 52cm D x 36cm), TWD20/each use for small-size lockers (41cm H x 42cm D x 26.5cm)
- Lockers can be used during opening hours from 9:00am to 5:00pm
Maokong Gondola
- You can take the Gondola from all stations and use it for 2 trips
- The ticket will withdraw by the gate automatically after using for 2 trips
- Children aged 0-5 are free of charge, provided that they are accompanied by at least 1 paying adult
- One adult can bring a maximum of 2 children free of charge. Succeeding number of children must have a child ticket
- The regular cabin can accommodate 8 passengers and the total weight of all passengers should not exceed 640kg
- The crystal cabin can only accommodate 5 passengers and the total weight of all passengers should not exceed 400kg
- Please distribute your group evenly within the cabins
- Pregnant women, children, elderly people, and persons with disabilities will be given priority. They should be accompanied by at least one paying adult
- Passengers with prams, pushchairs, wheelchairs (regular and electric) must not exceed 140cm x 70cm x 170cm
- Passengers with cardiovascular diseases, high blood pressure, acrophobia, or other medication conditions should not ride the gondola
- In the event of a thunderstorm, the gondola service will be suspended. If it's suspended before you enter the cabin or if you're already on your way to Maokong or Taipei Zoo Stations, please follow the staff's instructions to safely make an exit

Redemption Information
- There are two ways to enter the Taipei Zoo, one’s at the front gate (the main entrance); the other is the south entrance (next to the Gondola South Station)
- After redemption,the physical ticket is valid on the same date
- Main Entrance: Head towards ‘Group Ticketing Kiosk’, scan your digital QR Code via ticketing machine to redeem paper tickets, hand the tickets to ticketing staff for entry
- South Entrance: Arrive at the entrance at Taipei Zoo South Entrance, scan your digital QR Code via ticketing machine to redeem paper tickets, hand the tickets to ticketing staff for entry
Opening Hours:
- Zoo hours: 9:00am-5:00pm (last entry: 4:00pm)
- Animals Exhibit: 9:00am-4:30pm (indoor and outdoor exhibits)
- Taipei Zoo will be closed on 15-24 Jun
- Some ‘Indoor Exhibits’ will be closed on Monday by turns. Please check the time table before visiting
Maokong Gondola
Redemption Information
- Present your QR Code to ticketing staff at the Maokong Gondola Taipei Zoo Station ticketing office (1st and 4th Floor) or Maokong Gondola Taipei Zoo South Station, scan the code to redeem your ticket (2 trips per ticket) to entry
- You can take the Gondola from all stations and use it for 2 trips
- The ticket will withdraw by the gate automatically after using for 2 trips
- After redemption,the 2 trips should be used on the same date
Opening Hours:
- Mondays: Only open on the first week of the month 9:00am-9:00pm
- Tuesdays-Thursdays: 9:00am-9:00pm
- Fridays and the day before a national holiday: 9:00am-10:00pm
- Saturdays and national holidays: 8:30am-10:00pm
- Sundays and the last day of continuous national holidays: 8:30am-9:00pm
- Opening hours will change during festival seasons and special events, and depending on the weather conditions. Check the official website for accurate opening hours

By MRT
- Take the Wenshan-Neihu Line of the Taipei Metro to the Taipei Zoo Station and then walk to the Maokong Gondola Taipei Zoo Station (about 350 meters)
- Take the Nangang/Banqiao/Tucheng Line and get off at Taipei City Hall Station, then take the G1, BR18, or BR21 Bus to the Maokong Gondola Taipei Zoo Station

- From National Freeway No.1 Chungshan Highway: Go to Chien Kuo North Highway, turn left on Hsinhai Road to Second Northern Highway then take Wanfang Interchange (toward Muzha). Turn left into Muzha Road, then turn right onto Wanfu Bridge, and turn right onto Hsinguang Road
- From National Freeway No.3 Second Northern Highway: Take the Muzha Interchange to National Highway No. 3A then take the Wanfang Interchange (toward Muzha). Turn left into Muzha Road, turn right onto Wanfu Bridge, and then turn right onto Hsinguang Road
- From National Freeway No.3 Second Northern Highway: Take the Muzha Interchange then turn right onto Hsinguang Road
